I think following the trends lead people to lose their personality. If we keep following the trends our style will depend on a popular item on that period of time and when the time has passed our style will change too. Why do we need to care about the item that is in trend if we can create our own trend? For me my trend is to concern about avoiding consuming fast fashion products and aware of sustainability in fashion, this is the way how I keep in trend.

If our identity and style are strong enough we won’t need those popular items to make us look stylish or fashionable. We just follow our trend and make it cool by reuse, remix, or recreate with our existing clothes in the wardrobe to create new looks. So you wouldn’t be out of trend because you are following your own trend and that what suits you best. This will make us look unique and interesting with our own trend without losing any of our personalities.
